Tennis Canada “2009 Miele League Challenge” Contest (“Contest”)
HOW TO ENTER
To be eligible to win a prize in this Contest, enter on-line at www.tenniscanada.com/miele and follow the entry instructions. Complete the on-line entry fields. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
Limit one (1) entry per person. Any personal information submitted will only be used for the purposes of administering this contest. All entries must be submitted by no later than 11:59pm (PST) on August 21, 2009 (the “Contest Close Date”).
PRIZE DRAW, PRIZE DESCRIPTION & ODDS
On August 22, 2009 at approximately 2:00pm (EST) at 1 Shoreham Drive, Suite 100, Toronto, ON, M3N 3A6, six (6) entries will be drawn at random from all qualified entry forms received. The prizes available to be won are as follows;
One (1) Grand Prize: “Ultimate Dream Tennis Experience” for you and two (2) friends to include transportation to Toronto, two (2) night’s hotel and a 1.5 hour session of tips and match play with Grand Slam champion and Official Miele League Challenge spokesperson, Daniel Nestor. Total value of up to $5,000.
Two (2) Second Prizes: Rogers Cup VIP package for two (2) to include transportation, two (2) night’s hotel and one full day in premium seats at the 2010 Rogers Cup events in Toronto or Montreal. Value of up to $2,500 each.
One (1) Third Prize: Miele S7 Viento vacuum cleaner. Value of $699.
Two (2) Fourth Prizes: Miele S4 Hera vacuum cleaner. Value of $599 each.
* The prizes are in Canadian Dollars. All other costs not expressly listed as part of a prize are solely the responsibility of the winners.
Six prizes in total. Odds of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries by the Contest Closing Date. Only one (1) prize will be awarded per individual per household address. Prizes may not be substituted (except by Sponsor at its sole discretion) and are non-transferable.
GENERAL
- In order to be eligible to win a Prize in this Contest, you must first have correctly answered, without assistance or mechanical aid, a mathematical skill-testing question.
- The entrant eligible to receive a Prize will be notified by telephone on or before August 28, 2009. If a potential winner does not return the declaration and release (described in Contest rule #9) by the date indicated on the correspondence from Tennis Canada, the chosen person will be deemed to have disclaimed his/her right to be declared a winner and will forfeit his/her Prize. If such an event occurs, Tennis Canada will award the Prize to another selected entrant.
- This Contest is conducted by Tennis Canada and is open only to legal residents of Canada who have played two (2) organized league tennis matches between January 1, 2009 and the contest close date, are Eighteen (18) years of age or older, except the executive committee members of the leagues, employees (including persons with whom they are domiciled) of Tennis Canada and Miele Limited, their affiliates, licensors, associates and their respective agents or representatives, and their respective advertising and promotional agencies.
- By accepting a prize, the winner agrees to the collection and use of their personal information in this contest and to use of their name(s), address and/or photograph, without payment, in any subsequent publicity matters or advertising carried out by Tennis Canada related to this Contest.
- None of Tennis Canada, their affiliates, licensors and associates or their respective agents, employees or representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) shall be responsible in any way for the use of or bear any liability whatsoever in any way attributable to any prize awarded in this Contest (including without limitation any injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from the acceptance or use of any prize, travel related thereto or from participation in this Contest).
- All entry forms become the property of Tennis Canada for any and all purposes and will not be returned. None of Tennis Canada, its affiliates, its licensors and associates will be responsible for entry forms delayed, stolen, misdirected, lost or destroyed.
- The entrants eligible to win a prize must sign a declaration confirming understanding, compliance with and acceptance of these Official Rules and Regulations and acceptance of a prize and a release of all liability in favour of the Released Parties satisfactory to Tennis Canada before being declared a prize winner. By entering the Contest, entrants hereby agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described) with respect to or arising out of: (i) entrant’s participation in the Contest; (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes awarded herein; and (iii) the administration of this Contest and the distribution of prizes awarded herein.
- Prize declaration and release must be received by Tennis Canada ten (10) days after attempted document delivery has been made or a potential winner will be disqualified and will not receive a prize.
- Tennis Canada retains the right, in its absolute discretion, to make substitutions of equivalent kind or value in the event of the unavailability of any component of a prize for any reason whatsoever. The prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded. No cash surrender value or substitution. Only one prize will be awarded per household address.
- This Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Contest Rules and the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the Province of Ontario (including procedural provisions), without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of laws, rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws. Decisions made by Tennis Canada are final and binding with respect to all aspects of this Contest.
- This Contest closes on August 21, 2009, 11:59pm PST.
- The right is reserved by Tennis Canada to withdraw or terminate this Contest at any time without prior notice. Any personal information submitted will be collected and used for the purposes of administering this contest.
QUEBEC RESIDENTS:Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
