The UNMATCHED conference presented by Tennis Canada and National Bank aims to inspire attendees to make equity a priority and to action long-term, sustainable change within their communities.
Thanks to industry leaders, influencers, athletes, advocates, and academics from across Canada and the world, the conference generates meaningful cross-sector networking among guests and panellists. Together, we can initiate social change and build a more equitable sport system where everyone, regardless of gender and identity, sees a place for themselves to grow, develop and lead both on-and-off the court.

2024 will mark the third annual conference and promises to be an unforgettable experience that you don’t want to miss. Inspired by triumphant moments emerging across women’s professional sports, we want to accelerate the equity movement and inspire our audience to take action for change.
In 2023, we called on allies and advocates to take an intersectional approach to gender equity advancement, strengthen our community of change makers, and celebrated the wide array of identities and lived experiences of people making an impact in sport and beyond as we were All in for Equity.
The conference featured five-time Grand Slam champion, tennis icon and entrepreneur, Maria Sharapova, alongside speakers and subject-matter experts from within and outside of sport who brought Game. Set. Equity. to life in brilliant fashion.
Relive the inaugural edition of the UNMATCHED conference, which celebrated the invaluable contributions of women and girls in sports with the help of none other than the legendary Billie Jean King.
CARLOTA LEE RECEIVES TENNIs CANADA’S INAUGURAL JACQUELINE L. BOUTET AWARD
Named after the late Jacqueline Lemieux Boutet, the award will be handed out annually at the conference to an individual whose lifelong contributions in tennis have made the sport more equitable, inclusive, and accessible in Canada, particularly for women and girls. Lee, the inaugural recipient, helped build the Odlum Brown Vancouver Open into one of the most prestigious Challenger tournaments in the world.
