Tennis Canada today announced that Team Canada’s Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Qualifiers, held at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan, will be broadcast on TVA Sports and livestreamed by CBC Sports on CBC Gem and cbcsports.ca. Placed in Group A, the No. 2-ranked Canadian team will face Romania (No. 13) and Japan (No. 14) on April 11 and 13, 2025 respectively. The group winner will qualify for the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in November.
Led by captain Heidi El Tabakh, the Canadian roster includes Rebecca Marino (Vancouver, BC), Marina Stakusic (Mississauga, ON), Victoria Mboko (Toronto, ON), Kayla Cross (London, ON), and Ariana Arseneault (Richmond Hill, ON). The 2023 champions hope to advance to the final stage of the Billie Jean King Cup for the fifth time.

On the other side of the court, the Romanian team will consist of Anca Todoni, Miriam Bulgaru, Georgia Craciun, Ilinca Amariei, and Mara Gae, while the team from the host country Japan features Moyuka Uchijima, Aoi Ito, Ena Shibahara, Eri Hozumi, and Shuko Aoyama.

Viewers can watch Team Canada’s Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers on TVA Sports. The matches will also be available to livestream for free on CBC Sports digital platforms, including CBC Gem, cbcsports.ca, and the CBC Sports YouTube channel.
