In an all-new content series, Tennis Canada will highlight the contributions of the women who have helped make Canadian tennis a force to be reckoned with. For each Billie Jean King Cup tie, whether at the Finals, a Qualifier or Play-Off, we will invite you to learn more about a particular former player, coach or tennis personality through various interviews that will focus on her accomplishments and most precious tennis memories.
For the 2021 Finals, from November 1 to 6, Quebecer Marie-Eve Pelletier will have the privilege of being the first person highlighted in this series, as the Canadian team presented by Sobeys aims for glory.
A former professional player who was ranked as high as No. 106 in singles and No. 54 in doubles, Marie-Eve was one of the athletes who set the stage for the success of our Canadians today. A regular participant in the Billie Jean King Cup with 30 nominations, 25 wins and 15 losses, she still currently plays a major role in the development of the sport, working notably as a coach at the National Tennis Center presented by Rogers and a host for TVA Sports.
Her background, her involvement and her passion for tennis make her an inspiring role model for all. Learn more about her by watching the video below.
