
Canada off to Roaring Start at Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers
It was a day of debuts and dominance for Team Canada in Tokyo on Friday.

Guillaume Marx is a former ATP player and avid coach who was promoted to the role of VP of High Performance at Tennis Canada in 2024.
In 2007, Guillaume started as Tennis Canada’s Head Boys National Coach until 2021, when he was promoted to Head of Performance to oversee Tennis Canada’s National Tennis Centre, National Junior Tennis programs, and transition programs for both men and women.
Guillaume began his coaching journey with the French Tennis Federation, where he mentored prominent players like Gael Monfils and Gilles Simon and worked with Louis Borfiga.
His coaching repertoire has since grown as he has coached many successful Canadian players like Milos Raonic and Vasek Pospisil and led three players to six junior Grand Slam titles. Guillaume also coached Félix Auger-Aliassime from 14 years old to an ATP ranking of no. 17.
In 2013, Team Canada reached the Davis Cup semi-finals under Guillaume’s guidance. And, in 2022, they captured their first Davis Cup title, which was swiftly followed by the women’s national team’s maiden Billie Jean King Cup crown in 2023.
Guillaume’s expertise and passion for the game play an integral role in serving Canadian tennis and driving Canadian high performance to further excellence.
